Fall 2011 Cox Family Visiting Scholar/Artist
Brenda has been named the prestigious Cox Family Visiting Scholar/Artist at the University of Colorado Boulder for Fall 2011. On Thursday, September 15, 2011, she presents a lecture on the “Africanist Presence Material: Researching Performance -The (Black) Dancing Body as a Measure of Culture.” Sponsored by the University’s Center for Humanities and the Arts and hosted by the Department of Theatre and Dance, the lecture is followed by a book signing and reception.
